Shhh…! Don’t tell my father about this :D
Just what gamers seek. Would you buy this if you were a gamer?
While there are quite a few platforms to share and trash out new venture ideas with like minded people or seasoned mentors, there are very few ideas that transform into Ventures.
Most enthusiastic wannabe entrepreneurs think a Big New Idea will change their lives and make them the Ace Businessmen they always wanted to be. Its good to be optimistic, however, if all that was ever needed was just a brilliant thought, there would be more rich men than rodents.
Ideation does involve thinking about new ideas, agreed, however it does not stop at that. The ideation phase starts at identifying a need, and moves onto thinking of inaccessible solutions, ways of achieving the same, working out the stages of implementation, chalking out the phases of development, enlisting the logistical requirements, planning the go-to-market strategies and define all thinkable revenue models. Post this comes sharing the thoughts with close friends and striking off or considering the most logically viable options.
While there is nothing bad in being optimistic about his idea’s success, the owner of the idea should also be prepared to scrap the idea and start from the scratch if and when seen less viable.
Where ideation is an integral part of innovation, it does not stop at just that.
Do leave a Comment and share your thoughts on ideation and its importance to you.
While I like blogging, I tend not to post more than 4-5 blogs a month. Today, is an exception, I must admit. Bear with me, if you care.
While I love talking about Apple for its innovation of categories and excellent Marketing initiatives, I was Wowed by the planning and detailing they did for the launch of the iPad. Thanks to ChiMac’s Blog, I found that out.
Buying Bus Stop Ad boards is not a new thing, however orchestrating the release of the ad on all these Bus Stop Ad boards at the same time when Steve Jobs actually unveiled the iPad, is Awesome Symphony!
Hats off to Steve Jobs and his team for putting in so much of diligent efforts to doing everything so perfectly well.
P.S.> So want to work with him, someday. :)
Most of us use/have used auto-rickshaws at crucial times, sometimes or the other in our lives. In cities likes Chennai, many auto-rickshaws don’t use meters. In Bangalore, the auto-rickshaw guys demand over the meter. In Mumbai, the minimum auto-rickshaw fares were renewed lately. How do we know what’s the right fare to part with?
Now with technology to help, e.g. Google maps, which states the distance between two places, can’t we have an mobile/sms application that calculates today’s approximate meter fare between our present location and our destination?
Idea’s ‘School English classes via Mobile’ emphasized on accessibility in remote locations, while it promoted Rural Education. The new “Walk when you Talk”, promotes Health as a cause. On the same lines came the thought, ‘Pray Along’.
Many, forget or lose track of the verses of their prayers as they recite, when they miss the accompanied tune. Would it not be easy, if your early morning alarm tone could be the tune of your Suprabhat or you could just dial in to the karaoke of your favorite ‘mantra’ and ‘Pray along’?
